The Godhead
We believe in one eternal God, revealed in three co-eternal Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three make up the heavenly Godhead—equal in divinity, purpose, character, and love—yet distinct in personality and function.
They are united in their mission of creation, redemption, and restoration.
"There are three living persons of the heavenly trio... the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." (Evangelism, p. 615)
Scripture
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, given through holy men of old who were moved by the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme and final authority for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.
"The Holy Scriptures are to be accepted as an authoritative, infallible revelation of His will."
(The Great Controversy, p. 7)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, whose atoning death provides forgiveness and reconciliation. True faith is always accompanied by repentance, obedience, and a transformed life through the power of the Holy Spirit.
"It is through faith in Christ’s sacrifice that sinners are justified and brought into harmony with God."
(Faith and Works, p. 103)
"Obedience is the test of discipleship. It is the keeping of the commandments of God."
(Steps to Christ, p. 61)
Second Coming
We believe in the literal, personal, and visible return of Jesus Christ. His second coming will be the blessed hope of the church, the final deliverance of His people, and the establishment of His everlasting kingdom.
"The second coming of the Son of man is to be the wonderful theme kept before the people."
